Small space or yard and can't grow a full garden. Try raised beds! Last year I put in a 4 ft. x 7 ft. raised vegetable garden and a 2 ft. x 4 ft. herb garden. This summer I am trying an actual square foot garden.

In the vegetable garden I have tomatoes, peppers, celery, squash, zucchini, okra, red onions, yellow onions, kale, chard, and carrots. In the herb garden (photo below) I have sweet basil, purple basil, lemon basil, garden sage, purple sage, rosemary, thyme, parsley, oregano, and green onions. The rosemary, parsley, thyme, oregano, and some of the green onions over-wintered in the beds!
